Baires Grill Weston

The place is very nice but the service was really slow of course it may have been due to it being Christmas Day. The menu was also very limited. The drinks were great tho. The appetizers were very good. The main course was bland and not well cooked. I had the picana steak and they really didn’t do it any justice. It was over cooked. I had really hoped that it was going to be better.

Great steaks and salads! The waiters are all very nice but the service is a little slow and the steaks need more salt. For dinner, I reccomend the octopus for an appetizer and parilla for the main course to share. The sweet potato fries, spinach, and broccoli are great sides. For lunch the cobb salad is amazing and a good portion. The spicy mamacita drink is always delicious.

The customer service at this restaurant is a disgrace! They either need a new manager or just better training for current employees. We made a reservation for 18 people for a Friday lunch (at noon), half our our party were children. We arrived at around 11:50 am and they didn't let us inside until they were officially open (understandably). At 12pm, we went inside and I informed the hostess that an additional 4 people would be joining to which she replied that she had to speak to her manager because any party above 15 guests is considered a "semi-private" event, which requires the party to spend at least $1000. Mind you, we were never told this at the time of making the reservation for 18 people but the hostess just said that they were making an "exception". When I asked her why couldn't they make an "exception" for 4 additional people, she couldn't produce a logical answer and proceeded to repeat the "semi-private" event rule. We had a total of 10 kids under 10 in our party, so there was no way we were going to spend $1000 at lunch time, but it was still a big party that would have made them money. I pointed out that restaurant was EMPTY and the hostess said "yes, but what if we get busy and you're taking up more space than you should?". I was appalled at her response. They basically refused our business on the premise that other people "might" show up to eat. We were a party of 22 people in an otherwise empty place and they refused to host us unless we spent $1000. Restaurants around that area are a dime a dozen, so we just went to La Rural a few doors down. Shame on you Baires Grill. You don't deserve any business!
